Sorry no updates of late, real life’s taken over, haven’t used the printer in some time.

Have found a new way to procrastinate though whilst actually doing something useful….And plan a future build of a fully automated LEGO sorter!!

(Gotta use up them spare 3D printer bits somehow!)

Discovery of Internet Resources

It’s been fun getting back to my old routine and hitting up teh interwebs.

There’s a huge amount of resources out there

A few that I’ve discovered so far

• CNC Zone – in particular the Chinese Machines Sub Forum
• CNC Arena – there are around 700 posts Just on 3020 and 6040
• Someone called Whitequark’s Lab – some great modifications I’ll be copying,
• Russian CNC Club – may need some ‘translate’ for this one
• Hackaday – not many posts, but some useful ones

And there’s quite a bit else out there too, I’ll try to keep this page up to date as I go along,

• Someones website found from Pintrest
• Another modifying a chinese CNC website
• Vlad Cazan’s 3020 experience
• SVX Link – some useful insights into setting up Linux CNC / EMC software
• Guerrilla Guide to CNC – Awesome and comprehensive page with a lot of ‘CNC’ information. Bookmarked and lots to read
• Build Your CNC Tutorials – a LOT of information to peruse, plenty enough to keep me from actually, physically making stuff for a few months…..Must resist
• Fixed1t Blog – some CNC / Mach 3 stuff

I’ve found that a quick Google for terms such as 3040, 3020, 6040 seems to bring up more webpages than you’d think.

There does seem to be quite a few different versions of this machine out there though, most look superficially similar, I’ll try to figure out what the differences are
